The individuals who run around talking about the Scholars, are like the individuals who cry about wu’du. “Man I got to, GOT to make wu’du”, well go ahead and make wu’du? “I dont know how”. The sit around cryin’ about Jihad and talking about the Scholars but they dont know how to make Wu’du. They cant tell you the conditions of wu’du, the Shuruut of wu’du….If the Scholars aint doin’ nothing, YOU DO SOMETHING. Why dont they? Cuz they all about talk..

In the name of Allah. The One who sent His final messenger with light to help the blind to see. The One who there is absolutely no deity worthy of worship but Him. Peace and blessing be upon His final messenger, his family, his companions and whoever follows their way. The following was taken from “ Idmanut Turruq lee Ma’rifatil Furuq” this book was written by Abu Ammar Yasir Al-Adenee. Shaykh Yahya Al-Hajooree(may Allah preserve him)said “ Yasir Al-Adenee is a teacher and preacher. He currently resides in Hadramout. He has published a book titled” Hedieya fee Tarteeb Faw’id Beedieyah wa Neehiya”. Taken from At-Taabaqat on page 65.

Tawheed calls for the belief in Allah, the Books, Messengers, Angels, the Last Day and the Qadr .

‘Aqeedah is more general and has more detail in its subject than Tawheed does.

Tawheed affirms facts by proof only.

While ‘Aqeedah affirms Tawheed, refutes doubtful issues, sheds light on the misguided ideologies’ claims, and disputes with the other religions and sects.

(end of definition from Idmanut Turruq)

Extra point of benefit.

*The Salaf used to use the word Sunnah or Sharee’ah as a synonym with ‘Aqeedah. We find books written by great Imams that explain the ‘Aqeedah of Ahulus Sunnah wa Jama’ah. Here are just a few books that establish this point;

1. Usulus Sunnah by Al-Humaydee 219 H

2. As-Sunnah by Abdullah ibn Ahmed ibn Hanbal 290 H

3. Sharus Sunnah by Al-Muzanee 264 H

4. As-Sunnah by Ibn Abee ‘As-sim 287 H

5. As-Sunnah by Al-Murwazee 294 H

6. As-Sunnah by Al-Khalal 311 H

7. Sharus Sunnah By Imam Al-Barbaharee 329 H

8. Usul As-Sunnah by Ibn Abee Zamaneen 399 H

9. As-Sharee’ah Imam Al-Ajuree 360 H

Question [35] :
Is there a difference between the Aqeedah and the Manhaj?

Answer [35]

The Manhaaj is more general [and or broader] than the Aqeedah;

  • The Manhaaj is in the Aqeedah [beliefs] and in the Sulook [mannerism] and in the Akhlaaq [morals] and in the Mu’a3malaat [mutual relations and business transactions] in the life of every Muslim and in every field in which the Muslim traverses is called the Manhaj.
  • As for Aqeedah, then what is intended by it, is the foundation of Imaan [what the Muslim believes] and the meaning of the Shahadatain [Testification] and that which it comprises of and this is what is meant by Aqeedah.

‘O Muslims – Music Intoxicates the Intellect!!

17. Ridding your house (if you can) of any type of bells

Abu Hurayrah reported Allaah’s Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) as saying: “The bell is the musical instrument of Shaytaan.”[1]

If this is the case, – the bell is the musical instrument of Iblees – then how could it be that a Muslim claiming to fear Allaah, has reverberating in their cars or pounding in their homes; jazz, rhythm and blues, pop, hip-hop, gangster rap tunes or the like? Much worse than that, is the musical tune coming from the mobile/cell phones in the houses of Allaah, especially during the times of salaah!

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah said in his book ‘Madaarijus Saalikeen’ (1/485) said:

“How astonishing! That is, what type of faith, light, insight, guidance and knowledge can be gained from listening to tuneful verses and music in which most of what is said is prohibited and warrants that Allaah be angry with and would warrant the punishment of Allaah and His Messenger?”

He also said in his book ‘Ighaathatul-Lahfaan’ (1/258-259)

“Singing [and music] is worse and more harmful than stories of emperors, because it directs [one] to adultery and fornication and it is the fountainhead of hypocrisy. It is the snare of the Shaytaan, and it intoxicates the intellect. Its obstructing (people) from the Qur’aan is worse than any way in which other types of phony speech blocks them, because the souls of people lean towards [sounds like this] and have the desire to listen to it”.

How can anyone who has the slightest amount of baseerah (keen insight) and life in his heart attempting to draw near to Allaah and increase his faith by enjoying something which is hated by Him, and He loathes the one who says it and the one who accepts it?

‘Eid Mubaraak!

Allahumma fi mahdina fi maan haadaayt…I’m definitely going miss hearing this, taraweeh and Ramadhaan itself. It brought the community together so beautifully. It’s gonna take some getting used to, but alhamdulilaah I’ve definitely benefited this Ramadhaan and inshaaAllaah everyone else has as well. It’s a bittersweet feeling – sad to see Ramadhaan leave but excited for ‘Eid like a little kid, but inshaaAllaah khayr. ‎’eidddddd mubaarak!!!!!♥ taqabbalAllaahu minnaa wa minkum. We ask Allaah ‘azza wa jall to accept our good deeds from this blessed month and to help us to maintain our increased ‘ibaadah after Ramadhaan has ended, aameen.

It is reported that Al-Fudayl b. ‘Ayyâd – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

The believer speaks little and does alot, whereas the hypocrite (munâfiq) speaks a lot and does little. When the believer speaks, it is with wisdom, when he is silent, it is in deep thought, when he sees, he takes lessons, and when he acts, it is a cure. If this is the way you are, then you are in the constant worship [of your Lord.]

Abû Nu’aym, Hilyatu Al-Awliyâ` 8:98.
